When working on removing fuel system components, it is necessary to first relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel line. To do this:
Remove the rear seat.
Remove the protective cover.
Disconnect the fuel pump connector (arrow).
Connect the special tester to the diagnostic connector.

Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
After selecting the appropriate item from the tester menu, turn the engine crankshaft with the starter for 2 seconds.
If the engine does not start, use a tester to make sure that the fuel pressure does not exceed 0.5 MPa. Then turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
If the engine starts, relieve the fuel pressure in the line as follows:
- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and stop the engine;
- After disconnecting one of the ignition coil connectors, turn the engine crankshaft with the starter for 2 seconds.
If the engine does not start, use a tester to make sure that the fuel pressure does not exceed 0.5 MPa. Then turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
If the engine does start, turn it off by increasing the speed and at the same time make sure with a tester that the fuel pressure in the system does not exceed 0.5 MPa. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
Connect the ignition coil connector.
Disconnect the special tester.
Connect the fuel pump connector and install the protective cover and rear seat.
