Cruise control is an automatic vehicle speed control system that maintains a set speed without pressing the accelerator pedal. The system operates at speeds of 40 km/h and above.
This is especially useful when driving on the highway. Cruise control does not work at speeds below 40 km/h.
Please note that the set speed may not be maintained when going up or down hills.
When driving on a steep incline, the vehicle speed may drop below the set speed, so press the accelerator pedal to maintain the set speed.
When driving on a steep descent, the vehicle speed may exceed the set speed. If the vehicle speed increases too much, turn off the cruise control.
Turning on cruise control
1. Press the main switch А (Fig. 1.42) at the end of the control lever.

2. If the cruise control main switch is on, the "CRUISE" indicator lamp 17 in the instrument cluster will light up (see Fig. 1.16).
3. While moving at the required speed, press the lever down В (see Fig. 1.42) cruise control.
Increase the set speed
There are two ways to increase the set speed.
To increase the speed slightly, simply pull the lever up and hold it for less than 1 second, then release. Each time you lift the cruise control lever, the vehicle speed will increase by approximately 1.6 km/h.
Decrease the set speed
There are two ways to reduce the set speed.
To decrease the set speed slightly, simply press the lever down and hold it for less than 1 second, then release. Each press will decrease the vehicle speed by approximately 1.6 km/h.
Acceleration for overtaking
Press the accelerator pedal as in normal driving mode. After releasing the accelerator pedal, the car will return to the set speed.
Turning off cruise control
Cruise control (the system that maintains a set vehicle speed) can be turned off in one of the following ways.
1. Press the cruise control master switch A (see Fig. 1.42) at the end of the cruise control lever (the cruise control master switch is off).
2. Pull the cruise control lever B towards you.
3. By lightly pressing the brake pedal or pressing it harder in order to reduce the speed of the car.
4. By pressing the clutch pedal (on cars with a manual transmission).
5. When moving the automatic transmission selector lever to the neutral position "N" (on vehicles with automatic transmission).
6. When the vehicle speed decreases by 15 km/h or more from the set speed, for example, when driving on a steep hill, etc.
7. When the vehicle speed drops to 40 km/h or less.
Resumption of movement at a given speed

If the vehicle is moving at 40 km/h or higher and the cruise control has been disengaged using the cruise control lever or one of the above methods, the previously set speed can be automatically restored by pushing the cruise control lever up.
Under any of the following conditions, operating the cruise control lever will not restore the previously set speed.
1. The ignition was turned off.
2. The cruise control master switch was turned off.
In these cases, repeat the process of setting the set speed again.
