1. Start the engine to warm up the gearbox to a temperature of 70-80°C.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle so that the drive wheels can turn freely.
3. Connect the special pressure gauge MD998330 with adapters MD998332 and MD998900 to each pressure test nipple (Fig. 13.27, 13.28).

4. Measure the transmission fluid pressure at various selector lever positions and engine speeds shown in the table.
Note: In Figures 13.27, 13.28 and 13.29, the pressure test ports are designated as follows:
- 2ND: Second gear brake pressure
- UD: Underdrive clutch pressure
- LR: Low and reverse brake pressure
- DR: torque converter pressure
- RV: Reverse clutch pressure
- OD: Overdrive clutch pressure
5. If the transmission fluid pressure at different selector lever positions and engine crankshaft speeds does not correspond to the required values, check and repair the gearbox components.
