Removing
Mark the position of the rim on the wheel hub with paint.
Install the back of the car on the goats.
Remove wheels.
Twisting your finger (1), lift the brake caliper up, attach the wire to the car without pulling the brake hose.
Do not remove grease from your finger.
Remove brake pads with spacer springs, spacers and anti-squeal pads.
Installation
WARNING: Do not press the brake pedal with the brake pads removed.
Clean the guide surfaces and pad seats with a soft metal brush or clean with a cloth soaked in alcohol. Do not use any solvents or sharp-edged tools.
If there are grooves and scratches deeper than 0.5 mm on the brake disc, replace the disc.
Measure the brake disc thickness.
Check the boot and cuffs in the caliper. Replace the defective boot immediately by removing and disassembling the caliper.
Carefully screw the brake piston into the brake caliper in a clockwise direction using the tool. The support may not be removed.
The brake piston should not just be pressed in, but wrapped.
To rotate the piston, a special tool is inserted into the stop recesses. When wrapping the piston, observe the level of brake fluid in the reservoir.
After replacing the pads, the brake fluid level in the reservoir should not be above the MAX mark.
Measure the moment of starting the wheel hub. Screw on the wheel nuts to secure the brake disc to the wheel hub.
Treat the reverse sides of the brake pads and anti-squeal pads with a thin layer of grease. Grease must not get on the working surface of the brake pad and on the brake disc.
Insert both brake pads with new anti-squeak pads into the retaining springs in the caliper bracket.
Turning the piston housing down, insert and secure the pin.
With the engine running, press and hold the brake pedal for approximately 5 seconds. The brake pads will take up position. With the engine off, rotate the wheel hub 10 revolutions forward. Then measure the breakaway torque of the wheel hub and compare with the breakaway torque measured with the old brake pads. If the difference is higher than the required value, it is necessary to disassemble and repair the brake caliper. Required value: 70 N or less.
Put the wheels, taking into account the marks made earlier, screw the wheel nuts. Lower the vehicle and cross-tighten the nuts.
With the engine running, depress the brake pedal hard several times until there is strong resistance. Check and, if necessary, adjust the travel of the hand brake lever.
The fluid level in the tank should be at the MAX mark.
Adjust the handbrake.
Run in new brake pads. To do this, brake the car several times at speeds between 80 km/h and 40 km/h. Let the brakes cool down between braking.
