Removal
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Relieve fuel pressure in the fuel system.
Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
Remove the hood.
Remove the radiator.
Remove the gearbox.
Disconnect the accelerator pedal cable.
Disconnect the connectors of the throttle position sensor, idle speed control valve, knock sensor, oil pressure sensor, ignition system sensor, coolant temperature sensor, coolant temperature gauge and injector.
Remove the top cover.
Disconnect the ignition coil, camshaft position sensor and crankshaft position sensor connectors.
Remove the fuel return hose.
Disconnect the high pressure fuel hose and seal.
Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose.
Disconnect the coolant hoses.
Disconnect the heater hoses.
Disconnect the connectors of the power steering fluid pressure sensor, air conditioning compressor and generator.
After loosening the tension, remove the power steering pump and air conditioning compressor drive belt.
Disconnect the power steering pump along with the hoses connected to it and tie it with wire to the car body.
Disconnect the air conditioning compressor and tie it with wire to the car body.
Disconnect the exhaust pipe.
Place a jack under the engine.
Secure the engine to the winch.
Place a block of wood between the jack's support foot and the engine's oil pan and lift the engine slightly to relieve the jack's support of the engine's weight.
Remove the engine mount.
Make sure that all components that prevent the engine from being removed are disconnected from the engine, and then slowly lift the engine upwards out of the engine compartment.
Installation
The engine is installed in the reverse order.
