ATTENTION: The procedure for removing the cylinder head on an engine removed from the vehicle is to remove all external elements of the engine that prevent the removal of the cylinder head.
If not removed, then remove the gears and the camshaft drive belt / s, after aligning the alignment marks of the gears (see chapter «Engine repair without removing it from the car»).
Remove all details and elements of switching of the engine.
Turn away bolts of fastening of a back cover of a gear belt to a head of the block of cylinders.
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Turn away bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders in sequence, return shown, in 2-3 receptions.

Engines 1.3 l; 1.5 l; 1.6 l (8 valve)
1.6L engines (16 valves); 1.8 l (SOHC)
2.0L engines (DOHC)
2.0L V6 engines (DOHC)
Loosen the bolts one quarter turn at a time until you can unscrew them by hand. Work in strict sequence so as not to damage the surface of the head. Mark the position of each bolt so that you can return them to their original positions when installing.
Remove the head from the engine. If you feel resistance, do not try to pry it with a lever inserted between the contact surfaces of the head and block.
Place the head on a wooden surface to protect the gasket contact surface.
